About Us

Beach Waves a Family Salon was established in 2011. It is owned and operated by Eileen King. Our very talented hairstylists and nail technicians make up the rest of the family.

We are all committed to making your visit to our salon as inviting, comfortable, and professional as possible. We also strive to give our clients a positive experience by providing them with the most innovated products and services through our ongoing education.

We use and carry Paul Mitchell, Joico and Redken products. Men, women, and children are invited to visit the salon.

Eileen

Owner/Stylist

Lewes local, Eileen King is the owner of Beach Waves. She has been a stylist since 1977, and has only worked in three salons before deciding to open her own business. Her staff includes her two daughters, a niece, and a friend of over two decades! Eileen offers all hair services and has certifications in OPI gel color and Brazilian Blowout. Eileen will always greet you with a smile, whether you’re in her chair or any other chair in the salon!

Betsy

Stylist

Licensed since 1989, Betsy is a former salon owner herself. She definitely knows her way around the beauty industry! Betsy offers all hair services. She excels in styling and finishing her looks. Her gentle touch and kind heart assure the best guest experience.

Katelyn

Stylist

Katelyn has been with us since 2013 after attending Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology. Her love of art lead her to this career after she attended The University of the Arts. Katelyn is constantly expanding her knowledge with furthering her education and staying up to date on the latest trends. She has often been acknowledged for her gentleness when handling guests hair. Color is one of her favorite services, where she can express her art skills through foilyage, balayage, highlights and fashion color. Katelyn being a Delaware native, can be found on the beach in her free time, fishing with her husband and fur babies. Doni

Stylist

A California born beach girl! Doni has been licensed since 1993. She offers all hair and natural nail services. She specializes in color services and bridal up-styles. Doni’s calm demeanor and welcoming smile will ensure each client a wonderful experience.

Krystal

Stylist

Krystal really dives deep into the chemistry and the technical aspects of hair styling. She takes pride in passing on her knowledge to her clients, providing them with a thorough understanding of why chemicals and products work. All of her work is very strategically done to provide you with a beautiful, customized look. Krystal graduated from the Delaware Learning Institute in 2005 and provides all hair services, with a strong passion for multidimensional color.

Melissa W

Stylist

Melissa Wetzel came to us in 2020 with already over 25 years experience as a stylist in Pennsylvania! She has quickly established a loyal clientele as a very thorough stylist and with her experience in all hair services Melissa is sure to have you leaving feeling amazing.

Dotti

Stylist

In 1986, Dotti graduated from Kelly’s Beauty School in Dover, De. She offers all hair services, specializing in chemical services. Dotti has furthered her education through many certification courses, including Keratherapy treatments, Graham Webb Fade Master & The Modern Man cutting, and J of Beverly Hills styling. Known for her precision, Dotti strives to understand each guests concern in order to give them the best experience.

Jennifer

Stylist

Jennifer came to us in June 2021 after moving here from Annapolis. She has been doing hair since 1985, with a lot of experience under her belt. A super fun and energetic personality, your appointments with her will always be a good time. Jennifer especially loves styling and putting the finishing touches on all of her services.

Stylist

Melissa King, is the daughter of Beach Waves owner Eileen. She is a fun and bubbly person, and has been doing hair since 2012. Melissa loves doing men’s haircuts as well as all color services. She is also experienced with ethnic hair. In addition to all hair services, she also offers manicure and pedicures as well. You will definitely leave the salon feeling pampered when you book an appointment with her.
